This firmware is based on the Openwrt 23.05.0-rc3 released on 22 August 2023.
PLEASE READ COMPLETELY FIRST
01. How can I use this firmware?
- To use the firmware, you MUST first be already familiar with the existing functions of the Advanced Dashboard menu
- You MUST be prepared to read online manuals & guides as there will NOT be any support for this firmware
- Understand how to revert back to the original firmware if you think the firmware is not suitable for you. Read point 05.
02 What are the features of this firmware?
- WPA3 encryption
- EZHOTSPOT module based on the Travelmate package to easily join remote hotspots
- Access the device by SSH terminal
- Download other software(s) from the OpenWRT repository

- Add up to 4 wireless SSIDs (Ex. 1 Client & 3 Master(s) or 4 Master(s))
- Improved Plug n PLAY detection of **iPhone, Android, Huawei 4G/LTE sticks, ZTE 4G,LTE sticks
- Add new LTE/5G or other modems based on qmi,mbim,ncm & rdnis mode

04. Why and how to increase storage space on the Ezhotspot?
- With newer updates of operating kernels and security patches, the default memory of the Ezhotspot is only sufficient for basic operations. To allow more space for required software(s), increasing the storage space is hence needed.
Increasing storage space is a easy process. Prepare a USB storage stick and insert in the USB port
Join Ezhotspot to internet by wireless/WAN/USB tethering
System --> Software & click on UPDATE LISTS
Install luci-app-ttyd
Logout and Login to see new installed menu at System --> Service --> Terminal
Login with root
Type ezrun upsize
Follow 1st instruction and enter Yes when prompted
Follow 2nd instruction and enter y when prompted
Device will reboot when completed
Join to the Ezhotspot to see new storage space details in System --> Software --> Free space details.Important Note: This action will permanently erase any existing data on the USB drive!!!
05. How can I revert back to the previous firmware?
- You can revert back to previous firmware by using the Recovery package. Kindly READ the below requirements needed.

06. Can I see how the new user interface will look like before I decide?
- Yes, you can see a live demo by clicking on the below link(s). Kindly note that certain functions such as installing and changing of hardware parameters are disabled in the demo(s).
