IEEE 802.11ac is a wireless networking standard in the 802.11 family, developed in the IEEE Standards Association process, providing high-throughput wireless local area networks (WLANs) on the 5GHz band.

Ideally, it is a nice solution for people who need to have rich bandwidth and needs both an enabled 802.11ac enabled wireless router / access point and a 802.11ac enabled wireless adapter/device in a preferred enclosed area or at a relatively close distance proximity and without major obstacles to enjoy the rich bandwidth of 802.11ac.
